Experience Human Flight.

Experience Human Flight with the Melbourne Skydive Centre.
http://www.melbourneskydivecentre.com.au/

In February 2011, the five times world champions Fred Fugen and Vince Reffett from Soul Flyers were invited to Melbourne to provide advanced 3D coaching to some of Australia's leading Skydive athlete talent.

The goal of the Training camp and the production were:

1. To increase participation in our sport.
2. Provide greater pathways for our elite athletes.

Hopefully this video will give everyone a different perspective of what skydiving can offer. Hopefully it will provoke some necessity to learn to fly in our wonderful three dimensional environment- The Sky!

Pop up hotels for London 2012.

Photobucket

With millions of visitors expected to descend on the capital during the 2012 Olympics, London’s hospitality industry is exploring potential for temporary accommodation structures to help with demand.
Proactive hoteliers have been looking at these temporary structures as a means to increase their capacities during the Olympic period.
“We’ve had some very interesting talks with providers who are in the initial stages of deciding whether it will be feasible to erect temporary hotels in and around London during the Games,” Alex Robertson, managing director of GL Events Owen Brown, tells Access. “Whether these will come off will be down to logistics and getting the ‘per head’ costs just right, but it’s exciting to see the industry innovating and coming up with new ways to cater for guests.”

Natural Double Exposures by Dan Mountford

On their own, these double exposures are interesting and extremely creative. Knowing they were shot in camera, and not put together on a computer, makes these even more wonderful. Check out the awesome series Double Exposure by Dan Mountford.

Haruki Horikawa Photography.

The Haruki Horikawa photo series is serenely secretive as it captures a model in an array of white frilly fashion.
Each photograph boggles the mind as you try to make sense of the beautiful imagery with its light etchings and ethereal quality. The images further embody a luxurious and serene kind of art that shows Horikawa’s strength as a photographer as he explores a secret world that dives into the magic of ethereal possibility. Many of the images that are concealed depict the beauty of Horikawa’s photography style and those images which are not as mysterious, such as the model with the ghostly fashion photo effect, has its own mystery.
This London-based fashion photographer’s image titles include ‘Scent’ and ‘Surge,’ which effectively capture the ethereal essence of his photography.

Laguna Angular.

To connect the technology Renault four-wheel steering, the agency Publicis Paris has designed an alternative device appropriating a technique frequently used by street artists. The technique in question is simply that of urban collage, and it allows the brand to stage directly street advantage of its technological innovation.
The four wheels allow for better vehicle stability, improved driving experience, but mostly they reduce the turning angle of the new Renault Laguma. This point is illustrated with collages arranged on street corners. The message can make the connection with the campaign: "New Renault Laguna four wheel steering angle for a shorter turning."

Using cutting edge 3D Projection mapping techniques Mont Orgueil Castle was showered in light. At first seeming to simply illuminate, over time the castle began to morph and distort, building an abstract reconfiguration of the architectural form.

Tom Fruin’s Outdoor Sculpture - Kolonihavehus

Photobucket

New York artist Tom Fruin’s outdoor sculpture Kolonihavehus in the plaza of the Royal Danish Library in Copenhagen has the appearance of a friendly and colourful stained-glass house, yet it also evokes thoughts of churches and Charles Rennie Macintosh.

Photobucket

Fruin’s sculpture is constructed of a thousand reclaimed pieces of plexiglass ranging in size from 2x2 to 24x36 inches. They originate from many sources, including a closed- down plexi distributorship near Copenhagen, a framing shop, the basement of the Danish State Art Workshops, and the dumpsters outside the Danish Architecture Center.

The sculpture was brought to life by daily performances by Copenhagen-based CoreAct headed by Anika Barkan and Helene Kvint. The performances included poetry of the Danish Vagn Steen, Computer-controlled light sequences by Nuno Neto and a sound installation by Astrid Lomholt.

Kolonihavehuses were originally small garden sheds that were designed to give cramped and often impoverished city-dwellers a small plot and a refuge from city life. - Bill Tikos
